金融学系成立于2003年，同年设立金融学本科专业。2006年建成金融学硕士学位点，并在政治经济学博士点和理论经济学博士后流动站设有金融学研究方向。金融学系现有专任教师12人，其中教授5人，副教授4人，讲师3人，全部具有研究生学历，其中博士后2人，博士9人，在读博士1人。教师队伍年轻化，高学历、高职称，教学科研力量较强。金融学系已形成以金融应用为主要培养方向的学科特色。
The Department of Finance was established in 2003, and then undergraduate specialty of Finance was established in the same year. In 2006, the Department began to take in postgraduates of Finance. Finance is an alternative research field at two PhD. education sites, namely, those of Political Economics and Theoretical Economics. The Mobile Station can take in post-doctors of Finance. There are 12 full-time teachers in the Department of Finance, including 5 professors, 4 associate professors and 3 lecturers. Among them there are 2 post-doctors, 9 doctors and 1 doctoral candidate. As a whole the staff is with some valuable features, such as rational age structure, strong academic backgrounds, high professional posts, and substantial power in teaching and research. The Department of Finance has formed the subject characteristics dominated by applied finance gradually.
